The St. Clare Knights returned to the Loving Choice Pregnancy Center, this time to build custom cabinets to house baby clothes for the Center’s clients. The Knights worked over two weekends to complete the project. During the project, three seminarians from Houston also stopped by to visit the Center.
The St. Clare Knights coordinated the donations of various baby items from the Parish over two weekends to be donated to Loving Choice Pregnancy Center. These items are provided to expectant mothers as they attend the Center. In addition to the baby items, parishioners also donated about $700 in gift cards. Knights Bill Hoff and John Soisson presented Father Vincent with a $5,000 check for the Church and a $2,000 check for the School after 9 am mass on Oct 17, 2021. The check to the Church was used to upgrade the Rosary Garden and the check to the School will be used for the Annual Star Fund.
The St. Clare Knights continue their support of the Loving Choice Pregnancy Center with their donation of $6,500. Grand Knight Bill Hoff presents the donation to Director Will Rodriguez who is in the process of expanding the Center.
The St. Clare Knights donated $5,000 to upgrade the Rosary Garden. The Knights worked with Father Vincent to get his requirements and then obtained bids for the project. Once a contractor was found, the Knights worked with the contractor to lay out the new concrete path and the spacing of the beads of the rosary. The beads of the rosary were stamped into the concrete and later painted. All visitors can now walk the path as they say rosary.

The St. Clare Knights were recognized for their “Food for Families Program” by the Knights of Columbus with a Plaque. Grand Knight Bill Hoff presents the plaque to Mike Hahn who has been instrumental in the Food for Families Program for many years scheduling several Houston and Galveston County Food Bank visits. Congratulations to all Brother Knights and Parish participants who have participated in this wonderful program.
The St. Clare Knights recognized Stan Lewis at their Membership Meeting with an Honorary Life Membership Award in recognition of his long-term dedication to the Order. After 25 years of continuous service (at the age of 70), or 50 years of continuous membership regardless of age, a member merits the distinction of Honorary Life membership and is exempt from the further payment of dues. Congratulations Stan!
