On September 20, 2026, the St. Clare Knights donated $5,000 to the St. Clare of Assisi Catholic School Tuition Assistance Program. This Program is intended to assist families on a short term basis to help keep their children in a Catholic School.
On September 20, 2026, Grand Knight Mark Kubacak presented a $2,000 check to Father Vincent and the St. Clare Christians in Action (CIA) Ministry. The Christians in Action Ministry addresses the need of comfort, shelter and food through charitable works.
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Knights of Columbus Councils of St. Clare of Assisi, St. Bernadette, and St. Paul the Apostle held their Soccer Challenge at the St. Paul the Apostle field. Children ages 9 to 14 participated in a penalty kick competition designed for players to demonstrate their skills. Winners of the competition can advance to District, then Regional and ultimately the State Championships. Congratulations to the winners and good luck at the next level!
Recently ordained Father Benjamin King celebrated Mass on Thursday, August 27, for St. Clare Parish at St. Bernadette Church in Houston. Father Benjamin is the grandson of Pat and Mary Alyce Hall of St. Clare of Assisi Parish. The St. Clare of Assisi Knights of Columbus have proudly supported Father Benjamin financially and spiritually throughout his seminary formation and journey to the priesthood. After Mass, a reception was held in the Family Life Center, where the St. Clare Knights presented Father Benjamin with a chalice to mark the beginning of his priesthood.
On Sunday August 2, the St. Clare Knights of Columbus presented Principal Nadia Caninio and Father Vincent Nguyen with a School donation of $10,000. This donation will be used toward the new St. Clare of Assisi School sun shade awning in the outdoor school lunch area.
On July 30th, nearly 150 St. Clare parishioners and friends celebrated at this year’s Knights-sponsored Christmas in July Ice Cream Social. There was a best-dressed contest, raffle prizes for children and adults, and lots of ice cream. Shown are some satisfied attendees and volunteers.
On March 12, 2026, District Deputy Joe Kramer presents the State Council Charities Quick Start Honor Roll Award to Grand Knight Mark Kubacak on behalf of the Council. The Quick Start Award is presented to those Councils that achieve the annual charity goal is less than six months.
On March 12, 2026, District Deputy Joe Kramer presented the 2025-2026 Trifecta Award to Past Grand Knight Jim Hickok for the Council’s achievements during his term. The Award recognizes the Council’s exceptional efforts in recruitment, contributions to state charities, and attainment of Star Council

Scholarship Applications are now available for download!
The St. Clare Knights are now accepting scholarship applications from graduating high school seniors. Applicants must attend, and be registered members of St Clare parish. This is a merit-based scholarship, good toward the student’s first year of post-secondary education. Scholarships will be awarded up to $2,500, including one scholarship just for students who attended St. Clare of Assisi Catholic School. Applications can be found below.
Completed application packages must be received at the parish office before they close at 4:30pm Friday, March 27, 2026.
